Homeopathy

for

Cold and Flu

Winter 2024

Homeopathy can support you through cold and flu season — want to learn how?

Since I started working with homeopathy, I rarely take my kids (or myself) to the doctor for a cold or flu. And by rarely — I mean that in a family with three kids, we’ve visited an allopathic doctor for an acute situation less than 5 times in 15 years.

When I dipped my toes into homeopathy, I started with a class that gave an overview of how to work with remedies, but did not differentiate between picking a constitutional remedy, and picking a remedy for cold and flu or first aid. So I left that class feeling unsure of myself. It was too much and too little information, all at the same time.

It wasn’t until I learned specifically what to look for in both the sick person and the remedy, that I started getting consistent results.

Homeopathy is a powerful tool for healing — and you can spend a lifetime studying the ins and outs. At the same time, in just a few hours you can learn enough to get yourself and your family through many a sore throat, snotty nose and fever — if we narrow down our scope.

That is exactly what we will do in this class. We will look at 10 remedies, in the context of cold and flu, and get really clear what is important in picking and administering a remedy — so that you can be confident and effective next time someone you love gets sick.

What we’ll learn

  • Basic principles of homeopathy — homeopathy is not just remedies — it is a system of healing, an art and a science. We’ll cover the basics.
  • When to use homeopathy — using homeopathy involves striking a balance between trusting the body, and knowing when we need support. We’ll talk about when to let a cold run its course, when to bring in the support of a remedy, and when to seek help from a doctor or other professional.
  • How to select a homeopathic remedy — this is one of the trickiest parts of homeopathy! There are hundreds of remedies! How do I choose? We’ll cover what is most essential when picking a remedy for cold and flu.
  • Profiles of 10 essential remedies frequently indicated for cold and flu — we don’t need to know every remedy to get consistent results using homeopathy for colds. Many, if not most, situations can be supported with just a handful of remedies.
  • How to “dose” or administer a homeopathic remedy for colds and flus — picking the correct remedy is step one; step two is knowing how to give a remedy so that you support healing. Not too much; not too little 🙂
  • Practice cases — we’ll look at some real life scenarios to see how remedies show up in vivo!
